Marina Development

A fantastic amount of work is being done on the pontoons at the club these days. A big thanks to the members who have given up a lot of time over their Christmas holidays, on dark evenings and despite the terrible weather to help out! Again this weekend a hardy crew were at the club at 8am Saturday morning ready to get to work.

Thanks also and very importantly to everyone who has given financial support so far as nothing could be done with your assistance. We've almost 50% of our target amount raised. We're still hoping to hit that target and we need your continued financial support to get this done!
You can contact Patrick at any time on 0863879654. We'll keep you posted on our progress via the thermometer on the right sidebar.

Engine Maintenance & Boat Electrics

You usually don't have to look too far in the club to get some help on any aspect of boat maintenance so it's about time we tapped into that wealth of knowledge.  A number of members have kindly agreed to impart some of their 'expertise' and are going to run information/demonstration evenings on engine maintenance and boat electrics.

These evenings will be suitable to all levels, whether it's just to refresh your knowledge or you're starting from the beginning. Also as members are giving up their time to prepare these evenings it would be great to show your support.

Keep an eye of the website for details. Dates/times will be posted asap.

Race Officer One Training Course

The ISA are running a Race Officer One training course at FYC on Saturday February 27th. The course is suitable for anyone interested in helping out at race events but not necessarily becoming a race officer. We would encourage anyone interested in helping otu with the junior dinghy sailing or the Connaught Oppies which will take place at the club during the summer to sign up. This course is also a great one to attend to gain a strong understanding of the intricacies of racing.

Further details on registration, times & fees to follow. If interested please contact Elaine on 0861231864 as we need to gauge numbers asap.
