Rest in Peace

Shocked and deeply saddened with the news of our much loved cruiser class captain and good friend Alan McEneff who passed away suddenly this morning. Sincere condolences to his wife Noelle, children Andrew & Lyndsey, family & friends.

Looking through photo's of Alan it would be hard to find one where he's not smiling, such was his character... He is a huge loss to our club and he will be greatly missed by all his friends in the sailing community.

A huge milestone at the club tonight as the first of the new pontoons built by the members on a voluntary basis over the past few months was floated. We're very lucky to have such skilled members in the club! A massive congrats & heartfelt thanks to all involved.

Laser & Topper Series Winter & Spring Sailing Concludes

Thanks to everyone who helped on both on the water & ashore during the winter & spring dinghy series in October, November, February & March. It certainly shortens the winter for all the sailors involved. We could not run these events with the generous assistance of the OOD's & safety boat operators who give up their time every week and get nothing in return. Thanks also to anyone who helped out ashore.... the hot soup & warm rolls is hugely appreciated when the sailors come off the cold Shannon!

The Tuesday & Saturday dinghy sailing will start up in June. Keep an eye on the website & Facebook page for details.
