Well done to Stouche, Gala Racing and our U25 J24 team Jasper who headed to the J24 Western Championships in Lough Ree recently. Race 1 started but was abandoned as boats headed on the first downwind leg. Those brave enough to put up kites struggled to hold them. Wind in the 20s gusting I the 30s kts. Stouche drew a lot of attention with their capsize and have to be praised for their very impressive recovery. Our U25s (aged between 17 and 21 years) have to be congratulated for their perseverance in such bad weather conditions, some boats turned back but they continued to race mid-fleet until the race was abandoned. Well done! Gala Racing also doing very well, they continued to race until the race was abandoned also. Well done to everybody for braving the elements. Unfortunately there was no racing all weekend due to the terrible weather conditions. All sailors got home safe and sound.
