A fantastic night was enjoyed by all at the Laying Up Supper held last Saturday evening. A great crowd gathered, making for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Special thanks to Helena Roche of The Old Stand for the delicious food, and to Keith Freeman for the excellent music.
The Cup for the October Series was presented to winner Gerard King & Crew of “An Amhran”. In second place was Liam Madden & Crew of “Elantic” and third place went to Derek Dillon & Crew of “Big Deal”. The Wanderlust Trophy was presented to Liam Madden and Crew of “Elantic”, this prize is for the boat most travelled in the year from FYC.
This year’s event featured two wonderful surprises with the Commodore presenting Trophies for “Club Person of the Year”. The well-deserved recipients were Ed O’Regan and Patricia McCormack, recognised for their outstanding contributions to the club. Ed and Patricia give their time tirelessly to support and grow the club.
