That’s a wrap! Our Sailing Academy 2025 has officially finished for the year!
It’s been another brilliant season – the kids had a blast, gained so much confidence, and were right at home on the water. Our Otters were amazing again this year too.
A huge thank you to Amelie Brogan (our Senior Instructor) and her fantastic team, to Mary McCormack working away in the background, Ed O’Regan who smashed his first year as Centre Principal, and to James McCormack for always being there to lend a hand. Thanks also to our Child Protection/Liason Officers, Patrick and Niamh Finucane, and Avril Joyce, for their support, and to our Commodore – Trish McCormack for always making herself available to help out, and to everyone who helped keep the boats in top shape – teamwork makes it happen!
We also had an Irish Sailing inspection and got fantastic feedback (yes, we’re “punching above our weight”) A few tweaks were suggested – already sorted.
Massive thanks as well to the Marine Department in Shannon Foynes Port Company for the daily updates.
