It’s that time of year again, and we’re delighted to share that our sailing academy got off to a fantastic start in July. Despite the less-than-ideal weather at times, the enthusiasm and energy of our sailors shone through, with everyone getting out on the water and making the most of it, with the added excitement when the dolphins paid us a visit!
We’re excited to share some changes in our leadership team this season. Amelie has stepped up into the Senior Instructure role, bringing her experience and passion to the forefront. Mary, who remains a key part of the team, has moved into the Youth Organiser role, where she’ll be handling planning, bookings, and administration.
After years of dedicated service, James has stepped down as Centre Principal, though he’s still very much involved behind the scenes. Taking on the Certre Principal role this year is Ed O’Regan, and we’re thrilled to have him leading the team.
We’re incredibly proud that all our Instructors are home grown – a true testament to the strength and spirit of our club. We’re fortunate to have two Senior Instructors guiding the next generation of sailors, with many more making their way up the ranks.
Senior Instructors: Mary and Amelie / Advanced Instructors: Ivan and Jamie / Dinghy Instructors: Kate, Darragh, Jamie, and Luca / Assistant Instructors: Ella, Clodagh, Lucy, and Peadar / Helpers: David and Roisin.
It’s fantastic to see such a dedicated and talented team coming thorough – the future of the club is certainly in great hands!
Here’s to another safe, fun, and successful season on the water!
