Congratulations and well done to all FYC boats who took part in WIORA 2022 held at the Royal Western Yacht Club, Kilrush, recently. FYC were well represented with 10 boats entering i.e. Golden Kopper, Excalibur, Relativity, Battle, Poitin, Jasper, Wildcat, Shelduck, Liberty, and Dis-a-ray.
Four races were held in very testing weather conditions. Congratulations to Darragh McCormack and Crew on Relativity, winners of their Class in IRC and ECHO, White Sails: Division A: 1st Ed Enright and Crew on Liberty and 3rd Kevin Reidy and Crew on Shelduck. Division B: 1st Donal McCormack/John Paul Buckley and Crew on Battle and 3rd Bev Lowes and Crew on Poitin. The overall winners of White Sails were Donal McCormack/John Paul Buckley and Crew on Battle. The Benetau Cup was won by Ed Enright and Crew on Liberty. Congratulations to Janx Spirit who won the overall prize, Tadgh being a former member of FYC and our own Conor Dillon one of the crew. Well done to Kevin Reidy and Crew on Shelduck, a great result for their first outing on their recently purchased Dufour 34.
